The reviews are finally out for their documentary but they aren't glowing for everyone.
From Season 9, Episode 19 "Stairmageddon" - The elevator goes out at the office, forcing everyone to use the stairs, Dwight forces Stanley to make a sales call, Pam and Jim talk to Nellie and Toby about relationship problems and Angela supports her man.

I really like that The Office acknowledge that it's a "documentary". Parks and Rec never did that, if I remember correctly and I always thought it was weird.

I'm glad Parks and Rec never did. I love the show, but it is too comical to be revealed as a documentary. The Office, at least in earlier seasons, we can pretend we watch a documentary. The camera works, dialogs, etc. can still fit into that category.

The original retained the feel of a documentary throughout its run, the US version veered more towards becoming a sitcom and was none the worse for that.
